Well Hello everyone, I teach at a community college for my "real job" and I enjoy it a great deal. My focus area for work is Information Technology and Cyber Security but I sometimes need to just do something creative that uses the other side of my brain :-) a little bit. And one of the things I have always enjoyed is sewing. My first experience with sewing was at the age of 9, when I decided I would learn to hem my own shorts. A couple of years later, I made a nine-patch quilt top by hand sewing methods and started the journey of making my own clothes and sewing just because I liked it. I will post projects I work on with sewing and maybe a bit of jewelry making LOL. One of the things I want to work on is making some wallets and handbags that have RFID shielding. Even though, this is about sewing, I can't ignore the fact that it is important to guard information from possible identity theft.
